Gianvito Rossi Booties Charleston Style with Sarah Rose Johnson

Sweater | Jeans | Booties (similar, also similar) | Sunglasses

James and I arrived back in NYC, last Thursday evening after an amazing week in Amsterdam. The interesting bit is we promptly got on another airplane the next day to fly down to Charleston. A bit of a scramble to unpack and then quickly repack, but on top of that throw in Winter Storm Jonas which was coming full steam for the East Coast…

We had an afternoon flight on Friday and we weren’t entirely sure we were getting out – the three hour delay definitely reinforced this idea. Laguardia airpot was a bit of a shit show on Friday, as you can imagine. Anyway, we finally got out and landed in Charleston. The jet-lag coupled with the shortness of the trip had me throwing just the bare essentials in our bags. Weekends home with your parents can be spent entirely in workout clothes in my mind!

Workout clothes, jeans and two sweaters, seriously, I have never packed so little in my life. The jeans of choice from travel for me currently are these amazing luxe slim illusion (hell yes) seven jeans – they are basically leggings – so comfortable. This photo was taken on our stolen Sunday in my parents back yard. Not a planned outfit post, my hair is air dryed, no makeup, not a lot of thought in what I am wearing, but what I actually wear all the time. I had worn this outfit all day long with these shoes (a staple for me) and then pre-dinner I threw on these booties. Boom – done and done! Oh and in case you were wondering, missing the storm and getting stuck in Charleston was the very happy coincidence!
