This last weekend had me wondering why the hell don’t I live in a warmer climate. It was bone chilling cold in NYC and even though the sun was out, I wanted little to do with being outdoors. For someone who loves to walk around and spend the majority of the weekend outside, that is saying something. My keys to survival this weekend were big cozy warm sweaters, hats, gloves, an inferno style jacket and lots of warm beverages. There is nothing like a hot coffee or tea to warm you up when you are cold! Mittens are vastly superior to gloves when it comes to keeping your hands warm. Having all my fingers isolated in gloves just causes me to think I am forever losing feeling in my fingers, no thank you. These J.Crew glittens are the best of both worlds, they are fingerless gloves (hello texting) and mittens in one – brilliant! The only time we seemed to venture out this weekend was for meals – nothing beats a cozy brunch or dinner with friends when it is cold out! Hello bottle of red wine (We tried hard – It’s not you, it’s me Drynuary). Checked out a new spot in our neighborhood for brunch, Blenheim, that we loved. My sweater looks like it would be perfect for a ski weekend, and good thing we decided to book one this past weekend. Stay Warm y’all!
