Cocktail | Blood Orange Margarita
It’s Friday, and that is most definitely cause for celebration! Unfortunately, the weather is slightly blah today, which is so not cool for a Friday. Especially, when it’s blah and 70 degrees – I feel like I’m being taunted. I was at the grocery store over lunch trying to figure out how to jazz up this Friday night, when I spotted blood oranges and immediately thought “Blood Orange Margarita’s!” (pretty much happiness in a glass). What is happier than margarita’s and cooking in on a Friday night while blasting some tunes? I personally find margarita’s to be a great weekday pick me up as well, just saying. These are so easy to make and incredibly delicious, I dare you to just have one!
Ingrediants (makes one)
1 Blood Oranges 2 Limes Cointreau Herradura, or any good quality tequila
Recipe
1.5 ounces Cointreau, 1.5 ounces Herradura, 1.5 ounces of fresh squeezed blood orange juice and 1 ounce of fresh squeezed lime juice. Add all this to a shaker with some ice and shake, shake, shake. You can either serve this up or over ice. Garnish with a lime and enjoy!Fairly similar to my Margarita Recipe where I use equal parts Cointreau, Herradura, and Citrus Juice.
