You can’t go to the Amalfi Coast and not check out Capri! We did a full day on the Island – walking around, hiking up to the town, exploring the shops and having the most lovely leisurely lunch at La Fontelina. La Fontelina is a seaside restaurant at the bottom of a huge cliff at the base of Punta Tragara. You can either arrive by foot or be among the yachting crowd who arrive on their tenders. I strongly recommend making a reservations (we got our hotel to make one for us a few days in advance), because this place is incredibly popular and you will totally understand why once you arrive. We booked a table for 1pm and also booked a spot on the beach for before and after lunch to relax, have a drink and swim. The people watching is incredible!

The local fish of the day cooked in salt was amazing!!! The food here is incredible, the house sangria delicious and the views impossible to beat! Have a long leisurely lunch and then go down to the rocks and sunbath and swim – perfect atmosphere and perfect day!

After lunch, grab a chair or beach mat and soak up the sun and take in the beautiful surroundings. La Fontelina Capri | whatsarahknowsLa Fontelina Capri | whatsarahknowsCapri

After lunch, we hiked back up to Capri (burn off some calories to prepare for dinner that night) and grabbed some delicious gelato. We walked around Capri, taking in the lovely streets and stores before making our way down to the harbor and heading back to Positano.
