Restaurant Martin in Santa Fe

Whenever I go somewhere new I do a ridiculous amount of research on where to eat. I’m that crazy person posting on chowhound and spam emailing my friends and family until I feel that I have the perfect food itinerary. We had some delicious meals while in Santa Fe. The standouts were two amazing dinners at Geronimo and Restaurant Martin, a great lunch at The Compound and brunch at Pasqual’s.

Almost as important as dinner – a fun place to grab a pre-dinner cocktail! The cocktails at our hotel (Inn of the Anasazi) were amazing, delicious and could be enjoyed outdoors – perfection! Most nights we opted to have cocktails at our hotel but one night we went to The Coyote Cafe and had some drinks while enjoying the sunset and gorgeous rooftop view.

 Our Meal at Restaurant Martin

I loved the gorgeous courtyard we dined in while enjoying Chef Martin Rios’ delicious food. I really love al fresco dining and as soon as I saw our seating, I was even more excited for this dining experience. The food presentation was incredible and it tasted as good as it looked! Our Meal at Geronimo 

This is the meal I was most looking forward to on our trip to Santa Fe and it did not disappoint. My parent’s had dined there (18 I think?) years ago and gave it top marks so I knew this had to be our first meal when we got to Santa Fe. I made the reservation ridiculously far in advance and requested a booth in the front as a friend had recommended (glad I did!). Our entire meal here was outstanding and I am still dreaming about the Soft Shell Crab BLT! James got the Elk Tenderloin and for any meat lover I would say this is a must order. Soft Shell Crab BLT
