Fall Weekend in the City

{Via Quadronno is the best chic little Italian Sandwich Spot on the Upper East Side}

I have never met a person who has been to Via Quadronno and not immediately fallen in love with this cafe. Everyone has their favorite item on the menu, but the truth is you really can’t go wrong. A friend who recently went sent me a text after saying, “this panini changed my life”, which I think is a total accurate statement. This place is always hopping for lunch and don’t worry if there is a wait as it goes by quickly. To me this is the ultimate Upper East Side gem. A year round go-to for me and this past Sunday, a friend and I met there to grab a panini to go before walking the reservoir.

wine at Anforna

I am a huge fan of Anforna, it’s a little spot that does it all very well. They have delicious cocktails and in the winter do the best hot buttered rum I have ever had in my life! If you are not in the mood for a cocktail they have a great wine list and a solid draft beer selection. Hungry? They do great cheese and meat plates. Added bonus is that it is right next door to one of my favorite Italian places, dell’anima and provides a great place to wait for your table. One of my favorite places to meet someone for a drink in the city!

{Ravioli at I Sodi | Great West Village Italian Spot}

I Sodi is a tiny Tuscan Style Italian spot located in the heart of the West Village. This is a cozy spot that charms all that dine there with their delicious food, excellent negroni’s and friendly staff. We walked in just in time on a Sunday to snag the last two seats at the bar.

Strip House NYC

{Strip House in NYC where we dined at the bar on Friday Night and split the Porter House}

I love those weekends where you have absolutely no plans or reservations and you can just wing it. On Friday night, we were sitting in the kitchen having a glass of wine discussing our ideal meal for the evening when we decided on two things, 1) to go somewhere new and 2) that a steak sounded pretty perfect. One great thing about living in NYC is the dining options are endless and a party for two can pretty much always get a seat at the bar with no reservation and have a excellent meal! We had a great weekend of walking around, dining and relaxing. I hope everyone else had a great weekend too!
