I had to exercise restraint with the photos for this post, becauseI have about a thousand stunning shots. To be honest, when the hotel is this beautiful and the views are incredible it is almost impossible to take a bad photo. Il San Pietro is one of the most luxurious hotel experiences I have ever had an the service here is some of the finest I have ever encountered. As soon as we checked in they already knew our name – no need to sign for a bill or constantly be asked for your room number – these guys are truly pros. I would not return to the Amalfi Coast and not stay at this incredible hotel. Their private beach club was one of the most beautiful and relaxing spots on our entire trip. The hotel is far enough removed from Positano to not have to deal with the herds of tourist, but close enough to the action and the breathtaking views to be able to head in town for dinner or shopping. This is definitely the best hotel in the area – I promise!

To get down to the private beach club you have two options – walk or take an elevator that is located in the mountain. We walked down but not up, ‘hey it was our honeymoon’. The walk down was incredible! You walk through their produce garden that hangs along the cliff and we found a man picking figs and he offered me three – they were the best ever and huge!

Lunch at Carlino, for hotel guests only, was delicious. The day we arrived we had an incredible lunch there, a bottle of local wine and dined on some specialities of the area all while sitting by the sea – pretty perfect!

After drinks, time for dinner. We were here for three nights and had dinner at Zass our hotels restaurant, La Sponda the restaurant at Le Sirenuse (below photos) and a fantastic more casual meal at Next2. Our two favorite dinners were at Zass and Next2, but definitely worth it to go get cocktails at Le Sirenuse.

Zass

Some fun photos from our three days at Il San Pietro. The last photo is looking onto their michelin star restaurant Zass. It was like dining on the edge of the world and we had the most incredibly fun and fancy candlelight dinner looking out to sea. I loved our time in the Amalfi Coast and cannot wait to return to this amazing part of the world and this incredible hotel. Fun fact, many of the guests we met at the hotel have been longtime patrons that return year after year to this little slice of heaven and a personal goal for me is to become one of them!
