The older I get the more I have realized how important it is to take care of myself and my skin! All the years of my parents telling me to wear sunscreen and protect my face has finally sunk in. The ability to get no sleep and “go go go” is lost on me now, and if I told myself a few years ago that I would treasure a low key weekend night in, that would have been too crazy to imagine. Here are some things that I do to take care of my skin and myself:

Chantecaille has changed my life – it is the most amazing beauty line. Last year one of my best friends got married, and before the wedding changed her beauty routine and products in preparation for the big day. She went see the top guy for Chantecaille at Bergdorf Goodman, and he got her set up with the products that she would then use on her wedding day. She was the most beautiful bride, but her skin leading up to the wedding was amazing, and she swears by this line and now so do I! I know it is a little pricy but my skin is the best it has ever been. I use their Stress Repair Eye Concentrate and Magnolia Jasmin and Lilly Healing Emulsion twice a day – morning and before bed. I have very sensitive skin, and this is perfect for me and helps reduce redness. I also love their Rosewater, which instantly revives my skin and use the Detox Clay Mask twice a week. We both use not only their skincare line but their makeup too! I love their mascara, which is very nourishing, and the Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer is fantastic.

It is really cold in NYC, and the winter can really take a toll on your skin. Your skin gets dry and chapped, and these products have been a life raft. Fresh Rice Dry Oil is a winter saver – amazing, light weight and absorbs immediately. I swear by Fresh’s Brown Sugar Body Polish year round and in the winter I use it with the Rice Dry Oil. It is practically a spa in your shower. I love Fresh’s Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask and use it whenever my skin is seriously dehydrated – think long plane trips. I use Dr. Sebagh’s Rose de Vie when my skin is looking a little tired and in need of a pick me up – I have been using this product for years, and a little goes a long way.

I discovered Aesop when they opened two stores in the West Village and am always popping in to try new things. I am currently using their Rinse-Free Hand Wash which is the best looking antibacterial I have ever seen and with all the people and transportation in NYC, carrying antibacterial is a MUST. The Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm is also helping me keep my hands nice and soft in this brutal winter.

Having a good beauty regime has been amazing for me but the best beauty secret of all – a good night sleep and LOTS of water!
