Natural Fall Beauty | Get the Glow

Posted in Things I Love on

I don’t know about you, but Fall is the time I try (and very much need to) set the the reset button on my life. Especially after this amazing year – vacation, wedding, honeymoon, summer and lots of travel, I need to get back in a good and healthy routine. This includes (obviously) diet, exercise and work, but also beauty. After, an amazing and indulgent honeymoon I started figuring out how to feel and look my best again. I went and saw my dermatologist, Dr. Macrene Alexiades-Armenakas, and got a peel, but I also got help from the CAP Beauty and the book No More Dirty Looks. I think its important to look at the products you are using and try your best to make sure they are actually good for you. Here are some all natural products I love and use.

tata harper refreshing cleanser | whatsarahknows

Tata Harper Refreshing Cleanser

This is a balanced, non-foaming cleanser that was designed for those with sensitive skin (me). I use it to gently remove makeup whenever I need to. This products is free of soaps, alcohols and detergents and like all Tata Harper products 100% natural and nontoxic. I also use a salicylic acid and tea tree oil wash at night before bed that was prescribed by my dermatologist.

May Lindstrom the Clean Dirt

This was the product that got me hooked on May Lindstrom’s line – I am now totally obsessed. May Lindstrom is first of all gorgeous and her skincare line is amazing and truly luxurious. I have sensitive skin so I use this cleansing clay once a week. This microdermabrasion treatment leaves your skin feeling amazing without stressing it. Instead of feeling “scrubbed” your skin is left feeling soft, toned, plumped & smooth. It is made up of “an energizing blend of cleansing clays like Moroccan rhassoul, warming spices like cinnamon & turmeric and healing salts lifts impurities while a surge of H20-activated Vitamin C encourages cellular rejuvenation and increased blood flow(spirit beauty lounge).”

honey girl organic facial toner

Honey Girl Organics Facial Toner  |  John Derian Tray

I never used skin toners until I discovered this amazing product. Secret: I have caught my husband spraying this toner on his face. It feels amazing and totally refreshes and invigorates your skin. Great for travel, I feel like it helps decrease puffiness – winner! This is a get your skin glowing product.

May Lindstrom, The Problem Solver | whatsarahknows

May Lindstrom The Problem Solver

Another May Lindstrom superstar, this will cure any skin problem. This intense corrective masque tightens pores, relieves inflammations, fights and heals blemishes, and jump-starts your skin. This is one of those masques that you feel working, which I adore. You will have a little redness right afterwards but it goes away after roughly twenty minutes. Love this mask and use it once every two weeks.

de mamiel | whatsarahknows

Teak Step Stool (20% off) de Mamiel Salvation Body Oil

Post shower, I slather this amazing body oil all over and my skin soaks it up immediately. I adore the smell and I will soon be ordering another bottle (highly addictive).

fall beauty | get the glow

Manuka Honey |  Beauty Dust |  The Super Elixir  |  Beauty Chef Glow

I have posted about The Super Elixir before and started taking it before my wedding. It’s tasty and super easy, just mix with water or juice, and if Elle “the body” Macpherson swears by it I had to give it a try! I can’t speak to it actually doing anything to improve my health, but I like it and I figure it can’t hurt. I am  a huge fan swear by probiotics and I decided to try out Glow, but in the past I have used Renew Life Ultimate Flora Extra Care Probiotic 50 Billion. I have never been a DIY person, but I did buy Manuka honey and use it as a face mask. Not going to lie, I’m a fan and my skin feels great after. Before I buy any product I do a ton of research and lots of people swear by Manuka Honey and I have to say, I get it.

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask \ whatsarhaknows

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask

My hair was in some serious need of TLC. Chalk it up to more than usual highlighting and blowouts this year as well as lots of time spent in the ocean. This mask has been a godsend and after a few weeks, my hair is silkier than ever!

Cap Beauty & Spirit Beauty Lounge

I got some samples from CAP Beauty, where I frequently shop and love to get facials. Also, you can get samples from Spirit Beauty Lounge which is an amazing purveyor of luxury organic beauty.
