I love New York in the Summer, but I am not particularly loving this heat wave. Luckily in my neighborhood, there are lots of great places to duck into to avoid the heat and enjoy a little AC. The West Village is a great part of New York to explore year-round but particularly in the summer because of its many shaded (and very beautiful) streets. The West Village has a neighborhood feel, with lots of charming streets to wander around, shops to visit and places to grab lunch, coffee or a drink. Also, there is a new, albeit small, park in the West Village at 12th Street and 7th Avenue which is what you see behind me in the photos.

When I first saw this skirt, I thought it was Dolce & Gabbana. I was happy to learn that it was, in fact, Alice & Olivia and way more wallet-friendly. I think the fun village prints are perfect for Summer, I love all the colors that are in the skirt. Added bonus, I think this skirt looks a lot more expensive then it is which is always a huge win. I wore this outfit to an amazing dinner last night at Daniel Rose’s new New York Restaurant Le Coucou and it was phenomenal. Also, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on now and there are lots of saving to be had!
