I am flying to Paris on Thursday, and I can’t wait! I have had my clothes laid out for at least a week and naturally some additions and subtractions have occurred. We are flying out Thursday night and arrive bright, and early Friday morning. I will be as comfortable as possible on a plane wearing this and will arrive looking very stylish. I am not the biggest fan of airplanes and this aspect of traveling, but I have found there are some things you can do to greatly enhance the experience. Here is what I have put together as the perfect outfit, along with some of my long flight necessities.

The Vince sweater is the foundation for this outfit – it is so soft and beautiful. The sweater is great because it provides warmth but isn’t heavy (which I hate when traveling) and the turtleneck part … pretty Parisian right? I really can’t say enough great things about this sweater – I will be as comfortable as possible on a plane wearing this and will arrive looking pretty chic. I will wear this with my most comfortable jeans (rag and bone) and throw on my favorite calf hair J. Crew shoes of the season. I always need a large tote to carry all my stuff for the trip and this green one brings a little cheer to my dark ensemble and the airplane. It is beautiful and can hold a lot – which I need.

When flying through the night or on an exceptionally long flight, I always bring a cashmere wrap that I own that I can use as a blanket on the flight. I get very cold on airplanes and don’t enjoy trying to sleep in my shoes, therefore I always pack a pair of cashmere socks. They keep my feet warm and always make me feel a little more at home and comfortable on a plane. I also pack an eye mask that I own which I can use on the airplane or the trip if need be. They make really lovely travel sets where you get all three of items as a set (*excellent gift alert*), but I tend to bring wraps and socks that I own. Mark and GrahamRalph Lauren (on sale) and Saks are a few of the many places where you can buy travel sets.

I love these lavender wipes they smell incredible (relaxing lavender scent – which can be hard to do on a place) and are great to use to wipe down the area around you! It is that time of year when people are getting sick, and you don’t want to get sick on vacation, so these wipes are genius. I am obsessed with all things Chantecaille, and this Rosewater is amazing – instantly refreshes and hydrates your face which I think is essential for the long flights. I mean you want to arrive to your destination looking great, right?
