Last week was a big, fun and celebratory week with James and I both turning Thirty! I am still recuperating from all the fun, but wanted to share some of the many adventures we had. Above is from Saturday morning, when James brought my me ice coffee in bed after celebrating my birthday!

With James’ birthday Monday, mine on Friday, my parents in town and staying with us for the weekend and friends stopping by I was inspired to spiffy up our apartment for all the festivities. I bought lots of flowers and also was inspired to update the bar cart.

Daniel NYC Restaurant

We went to Daniel to celebrate James turning 30! The best discovery for me was Daniel’s fantastic bar, their cocktails were delicious works of art, and I can’t wait to return. The meal was theater – the food was sublime, the wine pairings perfect but it is a very long night (somewhat slow evening) but it is great for a special occasion.

My Thirtieth Birthday shoes | I wore them Friday & Saturday night and I felt very much like Carrie Bradshaw (dorky but true) and I am totally obsessed with them!

Blanca in Brooklyn for my 30th Birthday Dinner with James and my parents! This was my second time at Blanca and I was just as impressed and awed by this meal as I was on my first visit last year. I believe I may vote Blanca as the best meal I have had in New York in the past two years?! The atmosphere, service, food, and entire relaxed vibe while getting to watch the chef’s at work just make for an amazing evening! The course where you get Roberta’s pizza dough and butter – mind blown – so delicious! The 10 seat chef’s table is/and was my idea of the perfect place to celebrate my 30th birthday!

On Saturday night, James and I did a small dinner with some friends and family in the Wine Cellar at Il Buco, which is magical! Il Buco is one of my favorite Italian spots in the city and their wine cellar was such a special place to enjoy dinner with friends and family!
